Installation Scripture to be Read by a Youth

Ephesians4:1-8NKJV

[1]I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

[2]with all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love,

[3]endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

[4]There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

[5]one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

[6]one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

[7]But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

[8]Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”

The Act of Installation Recitals

Pastor to officers and leaders being installed, with them standing:

For as much as you have been chosen to serve as officers and leaders, and having declared your willingness to serve, I hereby ask you to confirm the following: Do you accept the responsibilities of the office into which you are being installed? And will you, insofar as you can, be committed and dedicated to discharge your duties faithfully and efficiently?

OFFICERS and LEADERS:

Before God, and in the presence of our fellow Christians, we do covenant together to give of our time, talent, and our treasure toward the fulfillment of the ministry in which we now agree to serve. We pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all our endeavors, and we strive to walk in the foot steps of the Master as we meet the challenging demands of our calling. We also commit ourselves to study and learning more about our duties and responsibilities so we may carry out the objectives of our respective ministries as best as we can.

I Peter 4:10-11

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
